The CWU-45P flight jacket replaced the MA-1 in 1977. The CWU-45P introduced a major change in flight jacket design in the U S military. Made of water repellent Dupont Type 6-6 nylon flight satin outer shell, and knit cuffs and waistband. Includes velcro for a name patch, utility pencil pocket on the left sleeve, storm flap, a fully lined cargo pocket with velcro closure to prevent FOD (Foreign Object Damage), and inside patch pocket. Made by Alpha Industries. The jacket is made of 100% nylon outer shell, and the quilted lining is 100% nylon with filler of 100% polyester.
