The G-1 was introduced into service in late 1930s as the official flight jacket of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corp flyers. The bi-swing pleat in the shoulder (which extends down the back to a belted waist) and double gussets under each arm provided for ease of movement in places which had notoriously small cockpits (as well as provided the movment to swim, if needed..). Our jacket faithfully reproduces the two large front, button flap pockets, with radiused lower corners and a gently curved flap. The same merino lamb mouton fur collar (with button closure flap and white "USN" stamp on the jacket's under-collar), zipper wind-flap with "USN" perforation and 100% rayon lining will keep you warm in the air or on the ground.
The stock jacket is made in seal brown goatskin, seal brown mouton fur collar, and has double entry front pockets. If you prefer a single entry pocket (military spec.) just let us know in the instruction box during check out and we will take care of it at no extra charge.

Sorry for being a bit tardy with this note, but I wanted to let you know I received the jacket your company replaced the collar on and applied my patches and wings to, and I was VERY pleased with the results and workmanship! I will send the others I have for similar work as soon as I can get the time and get my ducks in a row. I have 4 more G1's and one MA1, that belonged to my Air Force father back in the early 60's. Needless to say, the knits on the MA1 are totally rotted away now.
All my best to you and your staff for such fine work and such a quick turnaround time. The last time I had a company do restoration work on a G1 was a little over 3 years ago and it took them over 2 months to turn that around. I am here with you guys for the duration!!

I am sitting at my desk wearing my new G-1 that was delivered just 2 days after I placed my order and I couldn't be more satisfied!
This jacket fits like it was custom made for me! I can't wait for the weather to get colder so I can wear it every day. Each detail, the stitching, the leather quality, the zipper, amazing bi-direction cuffs, the collar and especially the lining rings authentic and perfect in everyway.
A trim fit in the torso with better than excellent movement through the shoulders and arms just like the jacket was meant to be worn. Too many of the other G-1's out there are cut huge and I mean Krispy Kreme eater huge! I hesitated to buy anything on-line but after purchasing from US Authentic I couldn't be happier with my jacket.
I put it on and my mom was over at the house and she said seeing me in the G-1 reminded her so much of her dad during the war that she was ready to cry. Thanks US Authentic for an awesome jacket.
I can't wait to get in the cockpit!

Yes, je viens de recevoir mon G-1 horsehide seal brown; le cuir est vraiment très beau, le rendu est bien meilleur en vrai. Auparavant j'ai eu durant 20 ans un B-15 en cuir d'une qualité irreprochable et je viens de trouver son successeur. Je recommande ce site c'est du serieux. (Posted on 7/23/10)

Last Saturday, february 25, I ordered a G-1 flight jacket from your company.
Today, not six days later, UPS Norway called, and told me my order had arrived and was ready to be delievered at my house. I could almost not believe it was trueI This was also the case with my two previous orders from your excellent company, and it's most amazing. I don't know how you do it!
I naturally love the jacket, which fits me like a glove, and has the most soft and subtle goatskin I have ever seen (better than my Eastman version of the G-1).
I am most satisfied with the quality of your products, the quick and professional service, and the fact that this speed gave me the opportunity to wear the jacket while it's still cold here in Norway (we actually have relatively warm weather here during the spring and summer!).

The above listed jacket ( G-1)was purchased by my wife and was given to me as a Christmas present which I ultimately exchanged for a custom jacket (you might recall our conversations). I called and spoke with customer service on Dec. 29 and you were a tremendous help in assisting me with defining what I needed in what would eventually be my custom jacket. Per your instructions, I dropped the jacket of at UPS on Tuesday Jan 6, at noontime. UPS said it would arrive at your location Wednesday. Now I recall from our earlier conversations that you indicated that once you received the returned jacket, that you'd have my custom jacket out to me within 4-5 days.....that in itself surprised me....l mean delighted me....and I was impressed with your attention to customer service. Well, On Friday Jan 9, when I got home, the new custom jacket was waiting fro me....WOW !
So, the service was absolutely EXCELLENT.....it was OUTSTANDING !
Now the new Jacket is absolutely perfect. I love it. The customization we discussed and which you were able to do (so rapidly) makes the jacket just perfect....l am very very happy with the jacket and with my entire dealings with you and your company. This is a beautiful coat. The service was prompt. I spoke to the owner Saturday evening to confirm the correct size based on my measurements, and ordered it that night on-line. There was a shipment notice generated by Sunday morning. The jacket arrived by Tuesday. Beautiful, supple leather. The right size. I had ordered a nametag, and it was prepared correctly, no typos.
If I had a wish, it would be the option to have the nametag sewn onto the jacket prior to shipment. I have a great tailor doing that now, at some extra expense. I would pay extra to have the nametag attached in-house so that the coat would arrive ready-to-wear. While wearing the coat at the tailor to check nametag placement, a very young lady said, "Nice jacket." I know she wasn't flirting. The look in her eye said she wanted the jacket for herself.
