The G-1 was introduced into service in the late 1930's as the official flight jacket of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corp flyers. The BI-swing pleat in the shoulder (which extends down the back to a belted waist) and double gussets under each arm provided for ease of movement in places which had notoriously small cockpits. Our jacket faithfully reproduces the two large Single-entry (double-entry available for no extra charge) button flap pockets, with radiused lower corners and a gently curved flap.

The same Merino lamb Mouton fur collar (with button closure flap and white "USN" stamp on the jacket's under collar), zipper wind flap the "USN" perforation and 100% rayon lining will keep you warm in the air and on the ground.
