go for these glovesBought a pair in March 2017, was shipped to Germany. Good service and support from flightjacket.com. Shipping with USPS took about 2 weeks though, but gauntlets were worth waiting for!
Material thickness about 0.8mm. Not too strong, but ok, have no comparison anyway. These gauntlets were used in the hot Pacific area.
Smell like real good leather. Overall good workmanship, no flaws.
Colour is rather yellowish than khaki, but that will change over the months when in use.
Silverish "USN" marking on top - fine!
Inside each glove a tag, black, with yellow types:
FLYING GLOVES TYPE B-3A
BUAERO U.S. NAVY
SPECIFICATION NO. 1944
US AUTHENTIC N.Y.
The only size available was M. And M really is M, i.e. snug, very nice fit, not too tight, not too loose - superb! My hand = 23cm, measured around 4 knuckles mid hand, without the thumb.
The opening of the shaft is not too wide, i.e. not too conical. Fine, very much like the original.

Can hardly wait to wear the gauntlets with my USN M422a pilot jacket.
My assessment: go for these gloves, they are worth the price, and the quality is fine. Couldn't find any better repros on the market. Make sure to measure the size of your hands correctly, as only size M is available. And enjoy the caring and prompt service from flightjacket.com. I will recommend this company to my Willy's MB mates in Europe.

excellent itemThe leather is supple and smooth. Construction is well done. Size is good, though I might have gone one size down to get a more snug fit. A great product.Posted on
Awesome for reenactingI bought these to complete my USN/USMC fighter pilot impression as part of the Florida Flyboys historical reenacting group. I have to say these gloves are perfect reproductions of the USN/USMC flight gloves of WW2 and I highly recommend them for those looking to portray any pilot - fighter, dive-bomber, or otherwise - from the US Navy or US Marine Corps. Sizing for a Large is true to other gloves. All-leather construction, elastic across the bottom of the wrist, stitching looks good. Now if only Flightjacket carried the AN-S-31 flight suit!
