A-2 Memphis Belle, Signed, By Moe Salman

I should say this before any anything else. I am very impressed by the products as well as the customer service provided by US Authentic and would recommend them to all my friends. I recently purchased a custom jacket. It is an A-2 signed by Col. Robert Morgan with the Memphis Belle nose art, bomb group and squadron patches. The art work is excellent. The horsehide color and the detail on the jacket are as close as one can get to the originals. I can't wait to show it to my friend's grand dad who was one of Belle's waist gunners. I am thinking of having him sign my B-3 that I had purchased from US Authentic as well. Keep up the great work !

Memphis Belle Info. by Bill Taylor

I would like to take a few minutes to thank who ever was responsible for the
great information on the Memphis Belle.  I am a retired LTC from the Army and
now own and run two radio stations here. My father in law was a 30 year navy
captain with WW2 service, along with my father a 1SG of the US. army during
WW2.  Dad had 7 years service active and 30 years in reserves.  I am very
glad that a business has taken the time to keep such a great piece of history
in the minds of those that may read and visit your web site.  Our family is
heavily weighted with military and aviation service members.  My great uncle
was Doug Davis that was a barn stormer, pilot for curtis candy company, coca
cola here in Georgia, and was killed in the 1934 thompson trophy air races.
He had won the Bendix  and was the first civilian to beat the military in
speed races in 1926 with his travel air mystery ship.  His brother Paul Davis
piloted B-24s from north Africa in the start of World War II and was in the
original polesti oil field raids.  The pride of our history runs deep inour
family.  I just wanted to let you know how proud I am I found you and will be
ordering a jacket very soon.  Again Thanks for the GREAT website.

A-2 Thumper by Andy Payne.

Yesterday I received my horsehide A-2 based on the actual B-29 "Thumper". The jacket absolutely kicks #@@!. Shaul Dover made sure that the jacket fit first. He then worked with me to design the whole jacket, including graphics, placement, patches, etc. exactly the way I wanted it. The really cool thing is that since the B-29, 20th AAF stuff is not as developed as the B-17, 8th AAF stuff, he researched the plane to insure that the squadron patch was authentic. In fact, he contacted the pilot's son to identify the proper squadron. We then chose from the two squadrons to which the actual plane was assigned. We chose the one in which the pilot served while participating in a key attacks during the war in honor of the pilot's service. I have nothing but good things to say regarding the entire experience. It is very rare that you find this level of product and service together, period. Thanks for a really great jacket!

A-2 Thumper by MICHAEL A SIENKIEWICZ.

Excellent job on the jacket. You did my Father and crew and all the other really brave people who have allowed you and me to be able to be free Americans, a Great service. Thank You Again, Michael A. Sienkiewicz Son of Lt. Col. Nicholas T. Sienkiewicz (Deceased), Aircraft Commander of A Square 21. "Thumper"

BY KEVIN LIU

I'm dropping you a note to say thank you for the excellent jobs which you have done with all the jackets which I have ordered from you.

Flying Tigers A2, I like this jacket because the Flying Tigers are a part of my Chinese heritage. It was quite surprising that the lettering on the blood chit was so well done. Also, nice job on 2 inside custom pockets.

G1, Although this was a "simple" jacket, it was manufactured and put together with quality workmanship. I especially like the custom collar which you made for me.

M444, What can I say? The artwork was fantastic and the jacket is superbly warm. Too bad that its not that cold year round here in Southern California. From the quality materials that was used, I think this jacket should last me a lifetime.

G8, I think this is the best work you've done so far. The G8 is light enough to wear on those cool mornings, and with the custom wool liner which you made for me, it should keep me toasty warm in the winter. I especially enjoy the artwork which you have drawn for me. The Jolly Rogers' emblem is excellent! I believe you're the only one on the web that offers this particular item for sale.

I have received many compliments for all the jackets which I have purchased from you. If I may, I will send you as many potential customers as I can. I feel that you have done an outstanding job in the manufacture of all these jackets. Additionally, I feel that you have created an atmosphere that makes the customer feel comfortable when shopping from your web site.

B-3 By Scott S.  MA

THE B3 IS WOW!!!! WOW!!! WOW!!!! MY WIFE LOVES IT!!! IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY PRESENT.

KUDOS' TO YOUR ARTIST, AND THE CRAFTSMANSHIP IS OUTSTANDING!!

WOW!

B-3 with Nose art By A.X. "Chip" Dopman

I just received my B-3 this afternoon, and wanted to thank you very much for the great work!! I've put a lot of effort into my search for an authentic B-3, as worn by my uncle in WW2, and was beginning to think that I was expecting too much...might have to settle for a modernized, commercial version from your competition. I'm glad to find that there are guys like you out there, who go the extra mile to ensure historical accuracy and custom-made quality! My compliments to Laurie on the artwork! The 414th Bomb Squadron patch was beyond my wildest expectations, and the "Nose Art" on the back is fantastic!! I'm taking it to a family Christmas reunion this weekend, and can't wait to show it to my uncle. There are just a few (small) items that I'd like to get corrected sometime, however...I had requested a 15th AAF patch, and received an 8th AAF patch, instead. The 414th WAS originally with the 8th, but finished the war in the 15th, however. The other (small) detail is that the B-17 on the back is missing a US star insignia on the wing. Perhaps your research shows that such an insignia was NOT on the 414th planes? If so, please let me know. (us authentic note; we follow authentic marking of the plan, and this plan do not have the star.) But if it was just an omission, that's OK, too...maybe I could just send the jacket back in the Springtime, and Laurie could add the insignia. Remember that I had planned to have her add 52 bombs later, anyway? Anyway, I LOVE the jacket, and just wanted to thank you again!! It was a pleasure doing business with you, and I look forward to doing more with you in the future. Happy Holidays!

Flying Tigers by Phillip Feldman

I just wanted to let you know the great job you did on my A2 Flying Tigers (AVG) jacket.  I was especially pleased that I could stop by your facility to go over exactly what I wanted.  Again thank you for a job well done.

Flying Tigers by Greg Papandrew

I have enjoyed the Flying Tiger Jacket my wife gave me for Christmas 2001 immensely! More importantly, I have also enjoyed the customer service I have received from your company, specifically, from Dover. People have asked me where I got my jacket and I tell them to go to flightjacket.com without any hesitation.   Thank you!

Top Gun By Michael Engelberg from Montreal

I just wanted to thank you for the great Top Gun jacket that I received today. Size 44 was perfect for me and the jacket looks great. Job well done.

PS. I think my dad is going to get one also :-)

Custom Patches by Steve Timm.

I recently purchased two WWII army air corps patches from you and two from another supplier. After I got them, I sent there's back and ordered two more from you. Yours were more expensive, but of much higher quality and appearance. Service and delivery better too.

Custom Patches by Tom Pendarvis

I am delighted with the USN jacket, and am very pleased with the fact that you were able to create a custom patch on leather with my former ship's shield, name and hull number on it (USS Biddle, DDG-5). And the patches that I sent to be sewn on look great. Thank you very much for a job well done. Thanks too for the fast turn-around. During the Winter months, it will be very difficult to separate me from that jacket.

826 BS Patch by Dick Olson

I got the revised 826th Sq. patch and nametag for Mr. Walter Chapman. Thank you for the beautiful work and the great service. It's always nice to get perfection on an order, particularly over the internet and to not have to fight for it. I appreciate the quality and look forward to doing business with your company in the future.

Custom Patches by George Sevick

I wanted a custom jacket to replace an old one. I had original USAAF patches from my tour in Vietnam and wanted a one of a kind item. The staff was very helpful and I just scanned in my patches into a JPeg file and email them to US Authentic and they handled the hand painting on leather and sent me a file of the final patches so that I could ensure that they got it right. I had three custom hand painted patches on the left and right shoulders and right breast sides of the jacket and had the Desert Storm blood chit on the back. Looks excellent and I have had a number of positive comments from people who want to know where I got the jacket from. By the way I was in was mobilized for Desert Storm and served in both Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.

A2 by  R. Booth (Central Texas)

My wife would be the first one to tell you that I am probably the most demanding person around when it comes to making a purchase, and I must reluctantly agree. That's why when I made up my mind that I was going to purchase a hand-painted squadron patch for my vintage A-2 jacket, I 'dug in' for the long haul. I knew I was going to have to search and scrutinize each option I came upon before I made my purchase. This process itself took weeks! Sending and receiving e-mails regarding clarification of images, production times, and purchase cost all had to be factored into the equation not to mention the selected vendors ability to satisfactorily generate custom work. With my tiring process now completed, "US Authentic" was deemed my vendor of choice due to their very reasonable pricing and promised quick delivery time. Even after all of this, I still had to swallow hard because I knew that custom merchandise is difficult to return once it has been delivered and as I stated earlier, I am VERY particular with what I buy. I contacted Dover one last time to notify him that the image I had selected would be transmitted via e-mail attachment and with special instructions regarding the image. After I hung up the telephone, I was certain that he hadn't recorded all of my requests. I then began the waiting process. Well, first, I was very surprised that the patch was delivered within the time frame promised. Secondly, I was AMAZED at the patch when I received it! It actually EXCEEDED my expectations! ... a virtual miracle by my standards. Rarely does this happen for me, particularly sight unseen purchases such as this via electronic media! You people have made a loyal customer of me. It's nice knowing that my next purchase of this type of product will not have to involve the extensive research and agonizing worry and disappointment which almost always follows, but will be quick and made with confidence. Thanks again to all involved! Job well done!

Flying tigers nose art and Memphis Belle by Kurt Grell, Ct.

If anyone has any doubts about dealing with US Authentic let me tell you the quality and the service is incredible. The customer service is beyond anything I have experienced in the way of jacket purchasing. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the attention to detail shows in the finished product. Dover is a very accommodating individual and was able to customize my jackets to all my needs so that they fit perfectly. The custom art work for the Flying Tigers jacket I had done as well as the Memphis Belle jackets came out beyond my expectations they are simply perfect. The turn around time is excellent considering I had four A-2 jackets made and all were custom and all in different types of leather. Again, thanks allot I am more than happy with all my jackets and I strongly recommend dealing with US Authentic for producing superior quality and authentic flight jackets.

Another note from Kurt

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the customized Flying Tigers jacket you produced for me. The large 23rd Fighter Group multi layer leather patch on the back is flawless as well as the rest of the art work through out the entire jacket. The fit is perfect and the quality is outstanding I again thank you for letting me swing by to try one on and working with me to make this concept jacket a reality. If anyone has any hesitation about dealing with US Authentic let me put that to sleep now. The company is a pleasure to do business with and provides exceptional customer service which is pretty hard to come by these days.
Again to all at US Authentic Thanks !!!

Noseart by Stephen Dwyer

I want to thank you and your artist for the absolutely beautiful work that was done on the BLONDE BOMBSHELL nose art on the A-2 jacket I ordered.  It turned out exactly the way I wanted it to and is a fantastic work of art.  I have been very anxious to wear it but have not been able to due to the rainy weather we have had here in the City.  A print-out of the artwork you sent me for the jacket has hung above my desk at work and I have received nothing but positive comments from my co-workers on the design and layout.  To say that I am pleased with the finished product would be an understatement.I have found one very minor problem that may need to be fixed, but it is not a serious problem that requires immediate attention.  The back piece of one of the collar snaps on the inside of the jacket is not seated securely over the liner - the liner has slipped out from behind the back piece.  Again, I do not feel this is a serious problem, however, I may want to have it corrected in the future.  I will contact you about it further once the jacket has been broken in a bit.

My deepest thanks again to both you and your artist for giving me a beautiful piece of art that I can wear very proudly in memory of my Dad.

Custom Patch by Brian Gilmore, Chicago

Yesterday, I received the painted leather patch your company made of the 14th photo squadron. I just wanted to write you a quick note to say thank you. The quality and the color are exceptional. I am very pleased and grateful for the job you did. Thank you.

A2s with custom embossed patch by Dan Schenk, CA.Just wanted to say Thanks very much to you and your staff for the extra effort in getting our jackets done.  They turned out great, everybody was extremely happy with them. They were exactly what we wanted.   I've attached a picture from everybody at our company dinner.

Memphis Belle A2 by Wes Krause, Alberta, Canada

I Received the Memphis Belle A-2 last week.  Been wearing it recently and realized that I waited far too long to order this from you.  I should have done this years ago.  The A-2 has been an all time favorite of mine but I have never been satisfied with other current makers.  Your jacket and the Memphis Belle artwork is a dream come true for me.  I watch the old TV series “Twelve O’clock High” as a pre-teen and always admired those flyers in their A-2’s.  Now I have my very own to wear with pride.

The jacket is absolutely phenomenal!!!!  I have compared it to originals in my collection and found it is so true in detail of construction that it astounds me.  I am a collector and look for detail variations in uniforms of the period, and at times have difficulty finding variations.  Your quality of construction and attention to detail is commendable.

Thank you for the great service and patience in billing.  Another project will be in the works and your jacket will be the basis of it.  I look forward to dealing with you again.

Nose art “big Shot” on A2 by Joe Trumpio Anaheim CA

Once again thanks for rushing to complete my jacket.  Weight of leather is excellent and painting is identical!!!!!  Until the next one.

Nose art “Bronx Bomber” on A2 jacket by Billy Maloney US ARMY, Iraq

This note is long overdue, I had my own design for an A-2 jacket made for me. My "Bronx Bomber" is a jacket that is reflects my NYC heritage and my love for Norma jean. I was able to E-mail a photo I found in a town in Egypt. Thanks to today’s technology Shaul and his staff was able to recreate the picture (with my changes) in no time. from the other side of the world i finally had my dream jacket thanks to the excellent customer service and no non-sense approach to satisfy my needs. Thanks for making my "Bronx Bomber" come to life. My only regret is that I cannot adorn her on a B-17G Flying Fortress.....this is a close as it gets though.

Blood Chit by Dave S, UK
