The Sportster Motorcycle Jacket. The motorcycle jacket emerged in the 1920s as an aviator- and military-styled garment with a new purpose, but developed its own look and meaning as the century went on. Jackets like the men's "Cycle Champ" and the women's "Cycle Queen" released by Harley Davidson in the 1940s became fashion icons that made any person wearing them instantly cool. The jacket was later popularized by the rock and roll movement and was soon produced in mass quantities. The jacket's star power was further boosted when Marlon Brando sported a double-breasted "one star" jacket in "The Wild One" (1953), where he played a rebellious outlaw biker. Our motorcycle jacket has a center front zipper (the early-day design with button front is available as a custom option), and a distinguishing snapped down, short mandarin style collar. There are two front pockets with zipper enclosures and a zipper chest pocket on the left front. Like all traditional aviation jackets, it is constructed with a one-piece back and two-piece sleeve. Our stock jacket is made of black drum dyed (3.5 oz) horsehide. A diamond shape quilted lining with inside pocket provides padding and warmth. Attention to the smallest details, like an embossed leather label, will take you to the past. As with all of our leather jackets, we offer affordable custom options, so you can get the jacket YOU envision. Some of the classic modification to the "Sportster" are: zipper cuffs, zipper side panel with tab adjustments, button front, second layered sleeves and modified pockets. Although the stock jacket is made in black horsehide, we can make it in horsehide (russet, seal brown, or vintage), goatskin (medium brown, seal brown, or vintage), and in limited-edition calf suede, 3.5-4.0 oz, vintage taupe color; a true classic.

Wow what a custom made jacket... Review by Worf
I don't know which category of jacket to put this in but I think this is closest. I had Shaul make me a Custom 50'ls Halfbelt in Vintage Brown HH. I wish I could show you how spectacular this jacket looks. And the vintage horse is soft as a baby's butt right out of the box. You don't have to go to England to get a fine HH jacket. The only thin different in this jacket from the one above is no zips on the side pickets, extra stitching on the sleeves, custome liner, the halfbelt and side pulls of course and an A2 type collar!
This jacket is fantastic I hope he took pics and will post them as a option for all looking for fine custom made leather.
