The A-2 Flight Jacket was made famous by U.S. Army airmen who wore them as a testament to their bravery, independence and skill. Service tested in 1930, the A-2 was adopted as the regulation Army Air Corps flying jacket on May 9, 1931. Its style continues to be a perfect example of form following function.
The A-2 jacket is available and true to the original design in russet or seal brown horsehide or medium brown goatskin.

Hanger loop boxed stitch through and through. Stand up collar, snapped down collar tips. 8-10 stitches per inch, reinforced pockets corners and wind flap, provide solid construction that backed by life time warrantee.
Its lining of 100% cotton and 100% wool knit cuffs & waistband is also true to the original. Finish touch of A/N inspection stamp and Air Corp stamp on the lining.

By far the best A2 I've owned Review by Bill Shea (April 2010)
The jacket arrived in good order and I am knocked out by what a great product this is. I've owned four A-2's over the years and this one is far and away the best. The quality and weight of the hide, fit and finish, etc. is amazing. Like I mentioned I purchased a similar product from Cockpit USA last fall for more money and was disappointed. My son loves the other one so it still worked out ok. The size you recommended is perfect. The only feedback I would offer is that the sleeves could be a little bit roomier. Thanks again for all of your help. (Posted on 7/28/10)
Great jacket Review by Bill Brushey (February 2010)

Gorgeous jacket!! Review by Dr. T.C. (September 2009)
The US Authentic Seal Brown Horsehide A2 I bought this past March is gorgeous! This is the jacket for those of you who want one built according to the original specification, but don't want to spend a grand. It is perfect in all the ways that matter. I gave my weight and height to the phone representative and the result is a perfect fit. The original spec materials and design keep you warm in a cold, drizzling, driving 33 degree wind. This coat will provide the highest ratio of authenticity to cost. Highly recommended. (Posted on 7/28/10)

The highest quality jacket anywhere Review by Don Cisle (November 2008)
Thanks for the wonderful jacket... and in record time too! You obviously had just that spec in stock! I've got to say that you guys make some of the highest quality jackets anywhere! While I don't have an Eastman leather jacket, I do have two of their fabric jackets; and while the quality is outstanding, for the money, you guys blow them out of the water! Thanks again, and keep up the good work.

Fit and finish are excellent Review by Dennis Parry (August 2008)
I've had my goatskin A2 for about a month now, and I love it! I have only been able to wear it around the house due to it being in the 80's outside, but the fit and finish are excellent, way nicer than the Cooper it replaced . I wonder why people spend hundreds more for other brands other than maybe authenticity (I guess I don't enough to speak to that). Thank you for a beautiful jacket and fast service. Very happy Review by Jason M. (May 2008)
Just thought I'd let you know that I have been wearing my seal brown horsehide
A2 jacket for a few months now. It is breaking in nicely as advertised, and I am very happy with it. I have had several people compliment me on the jacket, including one who was a retired air force colonel and wanted to know where I
got it. Enough said. Thanks for a great jacket.

- PHENOMENAL PRODUCT AND SERVICE! Review by FRANCO
Purchased an A-2 in horsehide seal brown from this company after much time spent researching the web for a quality A-2 Leather Flight Jacket. I have one which has lasted me over 20 years but got a wee bit tight so I figured it was time for a new one. I couldn't believe what some manufacturers were asking for A-2's. The average price was over $1000!!!! Then I found FlightJacket.com and US Authentic MFG Company. Prices seemed reasonable and they had exactly what I was looking for so I rolled the dice and took a chance on their jacket being enough of a quality product to suit me.
First off I couldn't believe the speed with which they responded and shipped my A-2. And I knew I hit the jackpot when I opened the box and saw the most beautiful A-2 Jacket I have ever seen! It is perfect in ever detail. The leather is a heavier more robust horsehide than my old one and weighs more also. The quality of the stitching and seams is absolutely first rate. The lining is very authentic looking and comfortable cotton.
I ordered a 46R up from my old 44R. The fit was perfect except for the sleeves which were a bit too long so I sent it back to have the sleeves shortened by 2 inches. From the time I shipped the A-2 to the company till I got it back was less than a week! Plus I had them add a name tag and a custom lining. Unbelievable service and quality of workmanship. And all this at half the price I would of paid with other manufacturers. I'll stack this A-2 up against any other A-2 on the market.
I also sent my old A-2 Jacket to US Authentic to have some patches sewn on and again incredibly fast and reliable service. I'll save this one for when my grandson is old enough to wear it.
I can't sing the praises of US Authentic MFG Company and Shaul for their prompt courteous and professional service loud enough. This A-2 will last me the rest of my life. And I intend to purchase more items from this company in the future.
Outstanding product and well done! (Posted on 1/20/15)
- Great experience! Review by Mark
- Received my russet horsehide A-2 in 2 days! It is a beautiful jacket and Shaul was right on with sizing. The only other leather jacket I've owned was goat skin so the stiffness of horse hide is quite different. I'm wearing it every second to get it broken in. Thanks. (Posted on 1/19/15)
- Absolutely superb product Review by Col TMH
- As a retired UN Army Colonel well familiar with the A2 Mil Spec I want to congratulate Shaul and his outstanding staff for delivering a jacket of peerless quality. The materials, craftmanship and customer service were all equally top notch. I have purchased several leather jackets through the years and none can hold a candle to the one Shaul delivered. I asked for a specific customization and they delivered exactly as prescribed and more astonishingly on-time. I hope some day to visit Shaul's shop and personally thank him and buy another jacket. You get what you pay for in America. When you buy a Flight Jacket from Shaul you will get every bit of the quality you paid for and the craftmanship you only dream of. (Posted on 1/16/15)
